Dreams and Ambititions
When I grow up I want to be a professional athlete. I want to because I would be working in a job that I love. They also get paid very well and can retire pretty early. As well they can become famous if they are really good at what they do. Although being a professional athlete requires one to be training all year even though I would only play for part of it, it is very beneficial to the later years of my life. I am required to be in great shape because I need to be able to play at a high level for a long period of time. My perfect life would be that I am a professional athlete and make millions of dollars. Then I could buy my parents a new house and go on nice long vacations. My perfect life would allow me to visit the biggest cities in America and potentially places in Asia. Those would all be paid for by the team and I would be able to explore the foreign countries and new cities. I would be able to explore the world on my retirement and I would be able to retire at an earlier age than a normal average working person.

I think that your dreams are very similar to George and Lennie's. You have to work hard now to be able to achieve what you want later on. Also, you said you would buy a house for your parents, which would be sharing your wealth which is what George and Lennie will be doing when they are living together. You also say that you would be able to retire early, which is essentially what George and Lennie want to do when the own their own land and can just live off of what you own/have.
ReplyDeleteYour dreams are different from George and Lennie's because you hope to become very rich. George and Lennie feel they have no need to continue to get money once they own their own farm because they will just be living 'off of the fat of the land'.
I think out of you, George and Lennie... George has the best chance of achieving his dreams. Very few people get the chance to become professional athletes, and lots of people aspire to be one, so it is quite unlikely that you will be one of those few people. I am not saying your not a good athlete, I'm just going off of statistics :) I think George has the best chance because he is smart and a hard worker and I don't think he will give up until he achieves his dream. On the other hand Lennie only has the same dream because that is what George always talked about, and Lennie is just going around with George, he isn't doing too much to help himself achieve their dream.
